WELCOME TO VIETNAM - "my new adopted country!"
My name is Stiermann Martin Walter. I was born in Augusburg, Germany (a small town is 60km far from Munich). My career is a Professional Chef/ Master Chef with 40 years working experience in different restaurants and small hotels in Germany. 
After hard working time, I decided to stop everything in 2014 with the thought that working could not be everything. Then I started to travel around the world to catch the inspirations for my own life once again.
I travelled a lot of beautiful and incredible countries such as Cuba, Senegal, Gambia, Oman, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and etc. Then I found out the "hidden charm" of Vietnam - a beautiful country with a long, hourglass of land, stretching over 900 miles up the eastern coast of the Indochinese Peninsula. After the long journey around Vietnam from the South to the North, from Mekong Delta to Sapa, I fell in love with the land, the local people and the cultural beauty here. So I decided to start my new life's chapter in Vietnam.
I had lived in Ho Chi Minh City for 1.5 years, I would like to settle my life in a small countryside of Truong Long, Phong Dien, Can Tho because Ho Chi Minh City - a million metropolis is too noisy, hectic, western style for me to enjoy my life in there. I started to build my lodge -cozy accommodation in the countryside to make my childhood dream of being a farmer come true with more than 500 fruits trees, a lot of ducks, geese and chickens.
At the present, you can reach my lodge by motorbikes and speed boats; however, it is the place where the real "authentic" holiday comes in. Every thing is really natural and not messed up by the tourism although nobody speaks English in here. People are hospitable and welcome the guests. Sometimes, you will enjoy the feeling as a Pop-star with the cheer of the children in here while going on the road.
Visit here, you can easily catch a glimpse of uninterrupted green paddy fields, farmers in conical hats and a great number of water buffaloes. All contributes to create a brilliant picture of people's everyday life.
